At Metta Trust, we believe no parent should have to choose between feeding their family and giving their children an education.

Sadly, many families in Sri Lanka living below the poverty line cannot afford to send their children to school due to the burden of purchasing books, stationery, and uniforms each year.
Even for children who attend school, the poor quality of education often forces them to take costly additional classes, which are vital for better opportunities but unaffordable for most families.
For over 10 years, we have provided school supplies and funded extra classes for around 250 children annually in Nehinna village, empowering them with better education and brighter futures.
With your help, we aim to grow from supporting 250 children annually to reaching as many as we can. Our “Sponsor a Child” program allows you to directly contribute to a child’s education, including school supplies and advanced education.
By sponsoring a child’s education, you ensure they have the tools they need to learn and thrive, with a chance to break free from poverty for good.
