Donate to Plant a Tree with Metta Trust

Support reforestation in the UK and Sri Lanka with a donation today. Just £5 plants two native saplings that could live for 100+ years.

Planting trees isn’t just about restoring the environment—it’s about healing our relationship with it.
01
Choose a tree as your gift to Mother Earth, and we will lovingly plant it for you.

Donation Options:

  • £5 → 2 baby saplings (approx. 0.5 ft tall)

  • £10 → 1 young tree (approx. 2 ft tall)

  • £20 → 1 growing tree (approx. 4 ft tall)

  • £30+ → A mature tree with strong roots and high survival

Your chosen tree will be planted on our land at either our UK or Sri Lanka Plantation Villa retreat centres.

Your donation covers the cost of planting, nurturing and long-term care, supporting our ongoing forest restoration work — lovingly tended by our gardening team and volunteers as the forest continues to grow.

02
Offer continued support of our new woodland project in the UK!

For £10/month, you can nurture and maintain 25–50 trees over 5 years

Here is where you donation goes:

✔️ Plant new trees at our Ruxton Farm rewilding project in Herefordshire
✔️ Helps trees get through extreme weather conditions and grow beyond planting
✔️ Funds care, monitoring & protection
✔️ Empowers local communities to restore ecosystems as we promote our project locally

Monthly giving means lasting impact—helping forests thrive year after year.

03
Where Your Trees Grow

Projects designed to protect biodiversity from harm and rare species from extinction:

🌳 Plantation Villa – UK (Rewilding Project)

We have begun rewilding 14 acres of land in the UK. So far, planting over 1000 trees across 5 acres—including native species like oak, apple, and orange.

🌴 Plantation Villa – Sri Lanka (Rainforest Revival)

At the Sri Lankan retreat, we have transformed a 10-acre rubber monoculture into a thriving rainforest. We now plant indigenous and endangered trees listed on the UN Red List—many with Ayurvedic medicinal value.

Why Your Support Matters

At Metta Trust, we know that healthy environments are the foundation for healthy, happy communities.

Forests are the lungs of our planet—and we’re losing them fast. Every minute, deforestation destroys habitats, displaces wildlife, and accelerates climate change.

With your help, we’re planting native trees to:

  • Capture carbon and cool the planet
  • Provide homes for wildlife
  • Revive soil and water systems
  • Rebuild natural biodiversity
  • Restore harmony between humans and the natural world

By restoring forests, we’re not just planting trees—we’re planting the conditions for well-being, resilience, and deeper connection between people and the planet.

05
Why Trust Metta Trust?
  • We plant only native and endemic trees—no invasive or ornamental species
  • We restore ecosystems in both the UK and Sri Lanka
  • Our work connects spiritual and ecological well-being
  • We involve local communities in every step
  • We are creating spaces for well-being, healing, and connection.

Because happy people grow in healthy environments.
