We Share Ancient Wisdom Through Free Community Talks

At Metta Trust, we believe that wellbeing knowledge should be accessible to everyone, especially those who may feel isolated or in need of support.

Our talks are provided by senior practitioners in yoga, mindfulness and Ayurveda, sharing practical tools to support physical health, emotional wellbeing and resilience in everyday life.

Loneliness is a growing concern in the UK, and the importance of community support, shared activities and compassionate wellbeing education is needed now more than ever.
01
We provide free talks and workshops for local support groups, social groups and care settings.

One example of this work includes a talk for the Herefordshire Arthritis Group, exploring how Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy can support joint health, mobility and quality of life.

We have also offered talks in care homes for the elderly, including sessions led by Ishara de Silva alongside a Buddhist monk, creating calm, connection and moments of reflection for residents.

02
Sharing Lived Experience

We offer free talks around the country with a small, dedicated team, including Ishara de Silva, founder of Plantation Villa and Metta Trust.

Ishara shares her journey from banking to a life of service and charity, and how ancient practices transformed her wellbeing — inspiring others to explore these tools in their own lives.

03
Invite Us to Speak

All talks are offered free of charge as part of our charitable work.

If you are a support group, care home or community organisation looking for guest speakers, please feel free to contact us by emailing Laura Leverington at info@mettatrust.org
