Accessibility Statement

Effective date: 11th May 2025

At Metta Trust, we are committed to making our website accessible to as many people as
possible, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to follow best practices for accessibility and
usability and to comply with the UK Equality Act 2010 by ensuring our digital services are
inclusive.

We believe everyone should be able to access our content and services, and we are
continuously working to improve the user experience for all.

Our Commitment

This website is designed to be accessible and usable by people of all abilities. We aim to:

  • Make text clear and easy to understand
  • Ensure compatibility with screen readers and assistive technologies
  • Provide sufficient contrast between foreground and background colours
  • Allow keyboard navigation for key parts of the site
  • Use meaningful link text and alternative text for images

Standards We Aim to Meet

We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines are internationally recognised and define how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities.

How Accessible Is This Website?

We know some parts of this website are not yet fully accessible. For example:

  • Some images may not have full alternative text
  • Older PDFs may not be fully accessible to screen readers
  • Some navigation elements may not yet work smoothly for keyboard-only users

We are currently in the process of developing our website and are working to address these issues. We are also planning to run an accessibility audit once development is complete.
